The Penn State Orchestra Invitational is a one-day immersion in the art of musical performance for talented high school string players. This exciting event offers students the opportunity to rehearse and perform with the Penn State Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Gerardo Edelstein. Participants will also receive instruction in sessions and master classes from the Penn State

string faculty (James Lyon and Max Zorin, violin; Timothy Deighton, viola; Kim Cook, cello; Robert Gardner, string education). Participation is open to all accomplished string players recommended by their high school orchestra directors.
