We’re approaching our final week of the season, and I’m honored to share that I was awarded the Sarasota Opera Guild Anne J. O’Donnell Award for an Outstanding Apprentice Artist! I have enjoyed learning from my colleagues and the fantastic staff at SO, and above all I have been incredibly grateful to sing this music that I love so much.

We still have a busy week ahead - we’ll be performing Attila, Daughter of the Regiment, Tosca, Pearl Fishers, Voices of Sarasota Opera Orchestra concert, and our final scenes concert. 🎼

The Metropolitan Opera’s live cinema transmission of Grammy-winning composer and jazz musician Terence Blanchard’s Fire Shut Up in My Bones, grossed $633,000 in North America on Saturday, with an estimated attendance of 28,769 at more than 900 cinema screens.

The Penn State production of “Carmen,” which had been scheduled for March 27 and 29, has been cancelled. The Center for the Performing Arts will refund patrons who had purchased tickets. This production is recorded following social distancing and double-masking guidelines, and the full production will be released later in the semester.
