Coming to the Fair from afar? 🚙 We hope to see you at the Common Ground Country Fair September 25, 26, and 27, 2026!

Consider staying somewhere local and extending your visit to the beautiful central and mid-coast Maine areas. 🛶🍂

Traveling in an RV? While we do not have space for RV parking in the Fairgrounds parking areas, we recommend checking out Farwell’s Corner Campground just down the road. Contact info can be found via the link above.

Sled dogs are making their come back at the Common Ground Country Fair this year! Each day, September 25, 26, & 27 at 11a.m., 1p.m., and 3p.m. in the Large Livestock Demo Area, join Carissa Daniels and her puppy powered team from Spotted Soul Farm.

This interactive attraction introduces fairgoers to the dogs and gear behind dog-powered sports like canicross, bikejoring, and sledding. Through live demonstrations and hands-on crowd participation, attendees will see how to safely get started in these exhilarating activities — and discover that mushing isn't just for big traditional teams nor is it only for 'proper' sled dogs. Team Frex is made up of house pets who also love to run, and they're excited to show how the sport scales down to just one or two dogs — making it something almost any dog and any person, of any age or ability, can enjoy.

Every year we work closely with vendors from the Food Area, Marketplace, Farmer’s Market, and other Fair areas to bring you the best of certified organic food products that are local to Maine where possible. Come to the Fair and enjoy everything from organic classic Maine Maple Syrup to Maine-caught Seafood to local Organic Sausage.

Volunteer at the Fair!

Volunteer for four hours at the Common Ground Country Fair and receive free admission the day you volunteer, a 2026 Fair T-shirt, a delicious meal from the Common Kitchen, and one night of free camping! Or, volunteer only three hours in the parking lots to receive all of the same amazing benefits!

Volunteers also can get a free massage for their hard work and time! On Friday and Saturday afternoon of the Fair, from 2-6 p.m., we’ve organized massages by volunteers for volunteers in the South Camping Area. We’re still registering volunteer massage therapists too!

Make your trip to the Common Ground Country Fair part of the fun! Check out how you can ride in style:

🚗 Carpool: Bring your friends and reduce your carbon footprint! Partner with GO MAINE to organize a ride, save energy, and cut down on traffic.

🚲 Bike: Skip the gridlock and roll right up! Enjoy VIP Bike Valet parking at the North Entrance, a warm welcome from our volunteers, and a special thank-you treat just for pedaling in! 🎁 Pro-tip: Use one of our Park & Pedal satellite lots (2 to 15 miles away) and ride from there! Check our website for Park & Pedal locations and our custom bike map from the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.

🚂 Take the Train: Ride in vintage style! Courtesy of the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad, trains run regularly to the Fairgrounds from Unity and Thorndike. Train tickets are required to be purchased in advance separate from your Fair admission.

The Volunteer-run Common Kitchen serves over 5,000 meals over the course of the 3 day Common Ground Country Fair, all with donated food from organically inclined community gardens, Farms, natural food stores, and organizations across Maine. We are moved each time meal service rolls around, delighting in the joyful faces convening around a delicious meal! 🍴

Heads up! The MOFGA Online Country Store will close to the general public on August 25 for Fair season.

That means August 25 is your last chance to shop current Country Store merchandise online before the Fair, including favorites like the 2007 Praying Mantis T-shirt and MOFGA hoodies.

🌿 MOFGA Member Pre-Sale: August 26–September 9

MOFGA members get exclusive online access to all Country Store merchandise during the pre-sale, including the 2026 T-shirt! Choose to pick up your order at the Fair or have it shipped to you after the Fair—new this year.

Not a member? You can shop the 2026 T-shirts at the Country Store tent during the Fair or online after the Fair. Just keep in mind that T-shirts have sold out during Fair weekend in many past years.

Good news! ALL vendors in both farmers’ markets at the Fair accept them for eligible products. 🍎🥦

While you’re stocking up, make sure to stop by the Maine Federation of Farmers' Markets Info Booth at the Rose Gate to:
-Find a farmers' market near you to support local growers year-round
-Learn how market voucher programs work
-Get tips on joining or starting a farmers' market in your community
