We couldn’t be more proud of Putnam County and the way our community has rallied together after the storm that came through Wednesday morning. It’s been amazing to see neighbors helping neighbors, people checking on each other, and so many people stepping up to help wherever they can.
Just a reminder that the trees and limbs dumping spot will be closing Monday morning, 8-10-26. The pile has gotten to the point where it is simply becoming too large for us to manage anymore.
We also ask that ONLY trees and limbs be added to the pile. Please do not bring trash, furniture, or anything else that doesn’t belong there. We are volunteers giving our own time to help get this pile taken care of, and we kindly ask that you follow the guidelines and not make the job any harder than it already is.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped clean up, checked on a neighbor, brought equipment, donated supplies, or just showed up when someone needed a hand. This is what makes Putnam County so special.
This storm has definitely tested us, but if there’s one thing we know about Putnam County, it’s that we take care of our own.
