Do you like being Fancy and Petty? Would you enjoy being a high-status moron? Maybe you should play one of the Village Nobles. Here's their writeup:
You are one of the village's ruling class. You were born to blue-blooded aristocrats, and likely own some of the land and buildings in town. You look down on commoners, even though you rely on them to do everything for you.
While you don't have a "job", per se, you will begin the game with a lot of money. It's possible that you have plenty of other funds "off stage", but can't access them for some reason. Keep that money circulating -- displaying your wealth makes you look good to other nobles.
The Servants are in your employ. You may ask them to do chores, run errands, deliver messages, etc -- but make sure this is fun for the player portraying your servant. Use check-ins (the OK sign, thumbs up/down) frequently. The servants also know a lot about you - come up with a few secrets that your servants might know about you -- tell the players these things during the workshop.
The Nobles are under the impression that they appoint the Mayor of the town. This may or may not actually be true, and can be explored in-game. The Nobles are not, however, generally involved in "running the town" - they can't be bothered unless pressed.
One or more of the Nobles may be your social rivals. (discuss this with them during the pre-game workshop) Throughout the weekend, you should spread rumors, plan embarassments, and devise your own schemes to appear more glorious and refined than your rivals.
During the workshop, you might decide that one of the Nobles is the ruler (Baron, Baroness, Baronx, something like that). If there is social warfare going on between the nobles, they are competing for the Baron's regard.
Props you'll need to bring for this role: fancy clothes, riches (ie rings, necklaces, other jewelry), big hat
