The Ancient Tones - New Sounds Festival is a new Festival event that will make its debut in September of 2015. The weekend long music festival will be bring together a great lineup of acclaimed musicians who play Americana, Celtic, Bluegrass and Old Time Country music. What will make the Ancient Tones - New Sounds Festival unique will be the focus put on the common musical thread that runs through
the roots of each of those genres. The Ancient Tones - New Sounds Festival will take place at the world renowned Union Grove campground located in beautiful North Carolina. Over 20 bands will play on multiple stages over the two-day weekend, and the festival grounds will also host various world food vendors and an arts and crafts market place. The music at the Ancient Tones - New Sounds Festival will begin on Friday evening and will finish with a Grand Stage Blow Out Jam that will happen on midnight on Saturday. In the spirit of the festival’s motto, “Stirrin’ Up What Took Centuries to Mash Up,” the all-star jam will feature Brynmor and Paddy Kennan hosting various musicians culled from many of the bands that performed over the weekend. After hours, casual jamming in the Union Grove campground will happen with the sharing of tunes and hospitality encouraged.
