💫💫Meet the DIRECTORS of Jesus Crist Super Star!💫💫

✨​Jonathan Jurado (Director) started in the theater at the age of 9, in 1989, in a strange land called Mexico; since then he has participated in more than 40 different plays, short films, and radio productions. He has been called Olaf, Gru, Lumiere, Aldo, Barry West, The Creature, Lola, Mongol, Gabriel, Scarlett, most recently Eyegore, and many more names from his characters. Theater is a big part of his life and Ohio is now a second theater home for him since 2022 when he was a knight in Cinderella. In 2023, he wrote a play that was performed at the Deersville theater. He has recently participated with Waterford Players and The Little Theatre. Theater is very important to Jonathan. This is the first play he has directed in the USA and he is currently working on several large theater projects. Jonathan is a Spanish teacher during the day and a mad artist, comic and toy collector during his "free time.” The bald short guy appreciates so much that the cast, musicians, and crew embrace him as one of them. And, finally, he hopes that you enjoy the show, because you are the reason for all the performers to be on stage.

✨Laura Gray (Music Director) has been a professional vocalist for over 25 years. She has participated in a myriad of choirs. She has over ten years of choral directing experience, working with both adults and children. Laura has performed in and directed many community theater productions. She is currently serving as President of the Waterford Players. She would like to thank her five amazing kids for being their wonderful selves, as well as her mother, who is always willing to come along for another wild musical ride!

💫💫Meet the Cast of Jesus Crist Super Star!💫💫

✨​Cory Spinell (Jesus) has been acting for 16 years and singing for even longer. He has been seen in over 20 shows at multiple theaters, with Claymont High School as his starting point. After high school, he went on to act at The Little Theatre and Deersville Theater. Some roles he has played include Cat (Cat in the Hat), Aladdin (Aladdin), Donkey (Shrek), Prince Eric (The Little Mermaid), and Jack (Newsies). Outside of acting, Cory has worked at UPS for the past nine years. He enjoys riding motorcycles, roller skating, and playing video games. Cory is thrilled to be performing a bucket list role with Waterford Players!

✨Kaylynn Yockey (Mary) is a fan of music and art. She has been performing for most of her life. She has had the privilege of singing on many stages though her favorite is her pew. She is a graduate of Muskingum University earning a minor in theatre. She was active in the Muskingum theater department and productions. There she also had the privilege of attending and representing the University at the Kennedy Center American College Theater festival. She is grateful to be among such a kind and talented cast. Above all she is proud to proclaim that Jesus did not end at John 19:41. He is Risen.

✨Frank Lucas (Judas) is a civil litigation attorney honored to join the Waterford Players for this production. He is excited, humbled, and deeply grateful to tackle history's most complex and infamous figure. Judas wrestles with a familiar but profound question: Who is Jesus Christ? Whether seen as a revolutionary, rabbi, myth, or God, Frank invites the audience to consider the evidence and claims of Christ. Who is He to you? … Frank’s favorite credits include Clyde Barrow (Bonnie and Clyde), Ren (Footloose), Jamie (The Last Five Years), J.D. (Heathers), Wayne (Puffs), Gleb (Anastasia), Robert (The Play That Goes Wrong), and George (It’s a Wonderful Life). Guided by Colossians 3:23, Frank offers his sincere thanks to God for His many blessings. He is forever grateful to his amazing wife, his family, and his friends for their constant love and support.

✨John Oliver (Priest) is a retired teacher of Natural Resources. He is passionate about anything outdoors. John helps students of all ages and spends his free time fishing, gardening, and farming.
