I don’t even know how to put it in words. I am so incredibly proud of each and every kid up these on that stage. For a lot of them, it was their first time being on stage. Throughout the entire show, they performed strongly without any fright to be seen. The jungle completely came to life, and I was entranced. I can’t believe those are the same kids that auditioned and started rehearsals in late January/early February. Their confidence alone grew exponentially! Especially the leads. I loved the opportunity to work with them one on one and really bring their character to life. I am just so humbled by these kids. I had so may people come to me and congratulate me after each show, about how well I did. It wasn’t me. It was them. I definitely feel the responsibility of helping them grow and get out of their shell, but it was all them. They’re the ones that made this show come to life and be incredible. I have no idea what I’m going to do with my life my life now.
I had one child when I began rehearsals. I now have 34. They became my children and I love them so much. I hope we get to work together again!!!!!
