My goal is to ensure every student has the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful, high-quality Homecoming mum or garter without putting a strain on parents’ budgets. My name is Callie Jo.�I’ve been creating mums since 2014, with experience even before then. I was fortunate to learn from the best—my Aunt and Uncle—while I was in middle school. By the time I reached high school, I was more involved, and
when my sister-in-law started Pre-K, I dove back into making mums and garters full-time. I’ve always been a bit of an overachiever when it comes to designing. Sometimes I have to remind myself not to “go too big,” but after all, this is Texas—and here, bigger is better! One thing that’s very important to me is keeping prices reasonable. My goal is to ensure every student has the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful, high-quality mum or garter without putting a strain on parents’ budgets. Every braid in my work is handmade and customized, and I love adding thoughtful extras to make each piece unique. For me, a mum or garter isn’t complete unless it feels full, detailed, and special. The joy on a student’s face when they see their finished mum or garter is truly the best reward and the reason I continue to pour my heart into each one.
