After the success of Singin' in the Rain tap dancing its way into people's hearts, the question that may be on your mind is: what's next?

And that's a wrap! After months of rehearsals, fine tuning, learning new skills, and giving these classic characters life on stage, Singin' in the Rain has come to a close at Pollard Theater.
We want to thank everyone who has taken part in this show - cast, crew, audiences, interviewers, and volunteers for the day. You are more appreciated than you know.
Hats off and umbrellas up! Cheers to a job well done and for this great opportunity to bring Singin' in the Rain to the Pollard stage. Onto the next!

And just like that... our final show today at 2 PM is sold out.
We want to thank everyone who has supported this amazing cast and crew, and today we give a big shout out to our two understudies - Elissa Thompson (ensemble, und. for Kathy) and Michael Robins II (J. Cumberland Spendrill III, und. for Don). Though they may not have had to step in as these roles, they have dedicated their time and efforts to be ready to jump in and have brought forth incredible stand out moments in the show which you will see today!
Elissa voices Lina in her chaotic dream sequence of "What's Wrong With Me?" and Michael gives a swoon-worthy rendition of "Beautiful Girl" which also includes Elissa!
We have one more show, ladies and gentlemen, and we are ready to give it our all - especially these two who have kept all of the wonderful characters they portray (or might portray) in mind throughout the process. 🍾

Of course, no play can come together until you have a director with a vision. Introducing our director for Singin' in the Rain, Amanda Spangler!

Amanda is thrilled to bring Singin’ in the Rain to life and to celebrate the remarkable work of this cast and crew. In more recent years, she has previously directed Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Driving Miss Daisy at the Pollard Theater Center among others, and has helmed numerous shadow cast productions at Liberty Hall. In addition to her stage work, Amanda collaborates with local production companies on commercials, independent films, and casting projects, continually seeking new ways to tell stories with honesty and heart. She is grateful for the dedication poured into this production, and hopes audiences leave tapping their toes and remembering the magic that happens when artists dare to dream out loud.

Introducing our incredible stage manager, Mikaela Sturgis!

Mikaela is thrilled to be stage managing Singing in the Rain and stepping to the other side of the curtain for this production. She previously appeared at Pollard Theater as the Bird Woman in Mary Poppins and has had the joy of performing in multiple productions with Tyler Civic Theatre. After many years under the stage lights, she is excited to support this incredibly talented cast and crew from behind the scenes and help bring this timeless, joy-filled story to life.

Mikaela hopes this production brings laughter, light, and a little extra happiness to everyone who experiences it — and inspires each person to find and celebrate their own unique voice.

Special shoutout to Ms. Jane Allen, the pianist you will hear this evening, her middle school choir director, who encouraged her to sing loud and be proud of what you love.
