I’m starting to realize that being an artist isn’t just about creating.

It’s the doubt, the unfinished pieces, the quiet stretches, the late nights, and the moments life gets in the way — but somehow becomes part of the work.

Lately I’m learning to trust all of it. The process, the pauses, the growth, and the pull to keep going 🤍

Sending this one out into the abyss hoping it will resonate with the right person. Is it you?

This was the first piece in the reflections collection. I painted it and then sat in the corner. I wasn’t sure about it, couldn’t finish it. I almost painted over it several times.

I worried it was too literal. But we are all fighting fires.
Putting them out, pushing through them, sometimes doing what we can to survive.

I’ve been there. I know you have to.

Something can be said for seeing yourself or the way you want to be in others. That’s want I want my art to do.

It took me too long to become a woman that was ok being seen for who she was. Someone that didn’t shrink to accommodate the people around me.

This piece reminds me how unbothered I should be. Unbothered by others opinions, actions and decisions.

What a huge freedoms there is in being unbothered!!
