Today we highlight the next of our featured artists in “Wide Open Spaces”, an exhibition inspired by the landscapes, lives and livelihoods of the American West.
Our featured artist is Sarah Bice (Fort Somner, NM):
Artist Bio: I am Western Impressionist oil painter living in New Mexico, inspired daily by the vast skies, open plains, and quiet resilience of the high desert. The landscape is both rugged and luminous, and I seek to capture its shifting light and atmosphere through expressive brushwork and layered color. Working in oils, I focus less on precise detail and more on feeling — the hush before a storm, the warmth of evening settling over sage and mesa. My paintings invite viewers into a place of stillness and reflection, honoring the enduring spirit of the American West and the deep sense of belonging it awakens.
