Get to know the talented students who make up UA Theatre & Dance! We’ll be highlighting students from across the department. First up, meet Logan Rice!

Logan Rice is a BFA Theatre major with a concentration in Musical Theatre and a Biology minor on a Pre-Med track from Hermosa Beach, California. His shows at UA include The Rocky Horror Show (Rocky), She Loves Me (Georg), Cabaret (Max), Violet (Virgil), and most recently Godspell (Jesus). Logan chose to come to UA after being blown away by UATD’s 2023 Spring production of Into the Woods. Combined with a generous scholarship, housing that accommodated his food allergies, and the opportunity to live and learn in a new place, it made for an easy decision. Now, on the other side of his college career, Logan is grateful for the training, the friendships, and the shows that cultivated his discipline and love for the craft of storytelling. After college, Logan wants to travel with his work and soak up the experience of a theatrical career before he pivots into his other dream: medicine. Ideally, he’ll be performing on a cruise ship, a national tour, at a Disney park, or a gem of a regional theatre before theatre becomes a lifelong hobby.

Rounding out our new faculty introductions, welcome Khorii Hunter Tinson, Instructor of Dance! We’re excited to have Khorii joining the Department of Theatre & Dance and can’t wait to see all that our students will learn. Get to know Khorii below!

Khorii Hunter Tinson (she/her) is a multidisciplinary movement artist, educator, and choreographer from Atlanta, Georgia. She is a 2026 graduate of Florida State University with her Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Dance. Tinson received her B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020. Khorii has performed in works by and trained with artists such as Rennie Harris, Jawole Willa-Jo Zollar, Baye and Asa, Charles O. Anderson, Gesel Mason, Jenn Freeman, Courtney Mazeika, and many others. Tinson’s unique movement style is a marriage of House dance and numerous Contemporary forms– specifically West African-Diasporic contemporary practices. She also plays Djembe and produces her own music through electronic sampler machines and digital audio workstations. Within a highly athletic, virtuosic, and dynamic movement style, Khorii’s work mainly speaks to current world politics and affairs, challenging her casts and audiences to rethink their belief in our government systems and worldwide identity. Her work Ghetto Birds was performed at the ACDA Nationals Conference in Washington, DC in May 2025, and Tinson premiered her MFA Thesis D.R.O.N.E in March 2026, which further showcased a hive-minded group of individuals rooted in efforts of resistance against unjust policing and violent militarism. Both works largely spoke to the natural right we hold as human beings to fight for our self-determination and liberation. Specifically, D.R.O.N.E called into question how The State treats the human body and reimagines a world in which the body is more powerful than a weapon. Currently, Tinson is a part of a national choreographic commission with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, setting a new evening length work in collaboration with Charles O. Anderson and Brotherhood Dance Company, which will premier and tour in 2027.

Continuing our introductions of the newest faculty members of UA Theatre & Dance, please join us in welcoming Kate Fleming! We’re thrilled to have Kate joining our faculty as an Instructor of Dance and look forward to all she will bring to our department. Get to know Kate below!

Kate Fleming is a choreographer, filmmaker, and educator whose work spans live performance, experimental film, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She received her MFA from the University of Alabama, where her research explores how social and political traditions inscribe themselves on the body and her own identity as a woman in the American South.

We are excited to introduce the newest faculty members of the Department of Theatre & Dance! Up first, we’re welcoming Tess Losada-Tindall, Instructor of Dance. We’re thrilled to have Tess joining our faculty and look forward to all she will bring to our department. Get to know Tess below!

Tess Angélica Losada-Tindall is a Franco-Cuban dancer, choreographer, scholar, and educator. She has lived and danced in the south of France, central Illinois, New Orleans, and most recently in St. Louis where she taught in the Dance departments at Lindenwood University and Webster University. Tess holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance from Illinois State University. Tess’ artistic research considers liminality, cultural straddling, and diasporic grief. Her work has been performed nationally and internationally, most recently in Washington D.C., and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tess is the co-director of Antropocuerpo, a Caribbean collective that creates movement encounters that center the Caribbean body as living archive.
