Full Moon Concert with Home Body and special guest Wishbone Zoe on Saturday Aug 9, 6:30pm in the bandshell at Peskeompskut Park in Turners Falls, MA

Come enjoy sunset and the rising full moon with us! This show is FREE and all ages! ADA accessible bathrooms provided. Rain date is Sunday Aug 10.

Peskeompskut Park is at the corner of Ave A & 7th St, across from Food City.

“Peskeompskut” is the Nipmuc and Abenaki name for this area and translates to “the place where the river is divided by the cleft rock.” This was a significant fishing and peaceful gathering place for indigenous people for generations until a terrible massacre by colonial militia in 1676 during King Philip’s War. In 2004 there was a Reconciliation Ceremony seeking to “begin to put the traumatic echos of the past to rest.” We offer our music in the park as an extension of this ongoing peacemaking gesture, and invite our audience to learn more about this land’s important history via nolumbekaproject.org

🎶 Pack a picnic and grab those lawn chairs! Dig out your bubble wands and bring your pals - Home Body, Mal Devisa & Joe DeGeorge: Sax Machine are coming to Great (Turners) Falls for a (free!) evening of music and merriment in the bandshell!

🌈 We’re keeping an eye on the weather and will announce Friday afternoon if we must invoke the rain date instead (Sunday, 6:30pm)

Known for her smoldering voice, raw poetics, and loop based, bass-forward compositions, is one of the Valley’s favorite artists for a reason. She approaches her genre-defying vibrations from any and every direction, making hypnotic, liberatory music that spans everything from jazz to folk, rock to hip hip, lo-fi to funk. “It’s okay to get weird,” she writes, “I exist for everyone to know it’s just fine to be themselves and to FEEL something.”

A honking good time! Providence, RI’s favorite quahogger by day and prolific rocker by night (Harry and the Potters, Downtown Boys), offers his saxophone as a tool to explore ourselves, each other, and life itself. “It can lift you up like the salt in the ocean or bring you down to the depths,” he croons, “allow me to demonstrate...”

Back in the bandshell for their fifth summer! Hailing from right here in Western Mass, vocalist and synthesist make heartfelt electro-pop music as Home Body. Known for their energetic live performances (IYKYK), the duo harnesses light, sound, and movement to present a spirited synth spectacle oozing with raw power and emotional grit.
