Roger's Castle is an original song by Possibly Irish , written by lead singer Susan Vaslev after the passing of her father, Roger Tofte, creator of Enchanted Forest.

The song is a tribute to a dreamer, artist, builder, and father whose imagination touched generations. It tells the story of a man who dared to dream big and spent his life creating a magical world for others to enjoy.

Roger's Castle reflects on that journey—from the creation of Enchanted Forest, built one bag of cement at a time, to the challenges of COVID, devastating ice storm damage, and the incredible support of the community that helped ensure the dream would continue.

This video (by Roger's grandson's of Baker Brothers Media) features images and memories from Roger's life.

The audio recording of Roger's Castle is now available on all major streaming services.

🎻☘️ Possibly Irish is a 6-member Celtic / Irish folk band based in the Pacific Northwest, known for engaging live shows, rich vocal harmony, and foot-stomping arrangements of traditional and original Irish music.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to celebrate Roger’s life with us last night, and everyone that was thinking of us, as well.

It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces for all of us, some we haven’t seen in years. We all truly felt so supported. We will have the recording of the event to post soon.

Like many children in Salem, I loved the Enchanted Forest more than anything. We didn’t have money to go to Disneyland very often but that didn’t matter to me because we had our own park.

Like many teenagers in Salem, I started working there when I was 15, 30 years ago. I loved it. I loved every second of it. And, as teenagers do, I started to notice someone. His name was Tim and he was one of Roger’s grandsons. I know it seems kind of silly, but I knew right away that he was the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with even before we ever had a conversation.

I will never stop believing there’s some kind of magic in the air there - because of what Roger created.

Every time I saw Roger, every time we passed in the park, or gathered for a family event or spoke in the office - the thing I noticed was that he always greeted everyone with a warm, happy, one-of-a-kind smile. The kind of smile that you feel inside. I’ve truly never met anyone else like him in my life.
