💥Studio & Dance History
⭐️How many years have you been dancing, and how long have you been at the studio?
🩵 I have been dancing for about 15 years total and have been at backstage for about 12 years.
⭐️What is your favorite style of dance (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop), and why?
🩵 My favorite style is jazz because I love how fun jazz is and how sassy and strong you can be in
⭐️What is your fondest memory of your years with Backstage?
🩵 There are so many memories I have from backstage and it’s hard to pick just one, but one of my fondest memories is when I started out at backstage, I only took one class and my first teacher was Ms Serena. Then I absolutely fell in love with dancing, and I started taking more classes.
⭐️What will you miss most about not dancing at Backstage?
🩵 What I will miss most about dancing at backstage is performing. I will definitely miss recital, Nutcracker, and competing.
⭐️What life lessons have you learned at Backstage?
🩵 One thing that Ms. Kristi has taught all of us, is to not say the word can’t. Just because you can’t do it now doesn’t mean that you will never be able to do something. If you work hard and put your mind to something you will achieve it, and I will always carry that with me.
💥Memories & Highlights
⭐️What is your favorite memory from your time at the studio?
🩵One of my favorite memories from backstage is that before every performance no matter if it’s recital, competition, or Nutcracker, we all get together to SHINE!
⭐️Do you have a favorite performance, routine, or costume you've worn?
🩵 It’s really hard to pick a favorite routine or performance because I love all my routines. But if I had to pick a favorite overall thing, it would be Nutcracker. I love Christmas time and the Nutcracker is such a great way to get into the season and there is so much that goes on to create this show, so it feel so good when we go on stage to perform it and it comes all together.
⭐️Which teacher or choreographer has inspired you the most?
🩵 It’s hard to pick just one teacher. I’ve had some teachers more than others, but I feel that they all inspired me in some way. I have so much love for all the teachers I’ve had during my time at backstage.
💥Fun & Personality
⭐️What is your go-to hype song before a performance or competition?
🩵I would say a song that gets me the most hyped before a performance is mystical magical by Benson Boone.
⭐️What is your favorite midnight snack or pre-show meal?
🩵One of my favorite midnight snacks is a bowl of fruity pebbles and milk.
💥Journey after Graduation
⭐️What lies ahead for you upon graduation (College attending what your major)?
🩵 After graduation I’ll be attending Stanislaus State University and I will be majoring in criminal justice and I’m so grateful that I will be working at the studio.
