๐ฉท Mahj Parlour Spotlight: Kam Loden ๐๏ธ
Kam first discovered The Mahj Parlour while taking classes with one of our teachers. She heard about the Parlour before we even opened, had seen pictures of Mahjong parlours in other cities, and couldnโt wait for Tupelo to have one of its own!
Kam may be a little quieter, but she is always an encourager. She is usually behind the scenes looking for ways to help, fix a problem, or make sure everyone feels comfortable and included. She truly cares about the people who walk through our doors, and we are so thankful for her.
What Kam loves most about the Parlour is meeting new people while also giving her brain a little challenge.
Kam is one of our monthly Parlour Club members. She loves having five different opportunities each week to come play, all for just $50 a month. It gives her the flexibility to fit Mahjong into her schedule while enjoying time with the friends she has made here.
Her favorite Parlour memory so far? Winning her very first round! ๐๏ธ๐
One of Kamโs most meaningful memories was bringing a friend who needed encouragement. While at the Parlour, she said her friend was relaxed, laughing and enjoyed being surrounded by people who cared. Kam said, "I am learning that the Parlour is about so much more than Mahjong. Sometimes people simply need a place to belong and a reason to smile and that happens there."๐ซถ
Kam has the sweetest encouragement for anyone who may be hesitant to jump in:
โCome play, no matter your skill level. You will learn something new, and you are probably much better than you think you are.โ
We love Kam and the quiet, caring way she helps make The Mahj Parlour such a special place. ๐ฉท
