Join us Thursday, October 8th from 10:30 AM–12 PM as we welcome Lt. John Haning and his K9 partner, Rosco, from the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office!
If you’ve never heard of an Electronic Storage Detection K9, you are about to learn something incredible.
Rosco is specially trained to detect the chemical found on electronic devices that store data. That means he can locate things like cell phones, flash drives, SD cards, hard drives and even tiny hidden devices that investigators may not be able to see.
Lt. Haning and Rosco work alongside law enforcement in cases involving child exploitation and human trafficking, helping investigators find critical evidence that can protect children and bring predators to justice. Rosco also has a unique gift for comforting survivors and children during some of the hardest moments of their lives. (news.okstate.edu)
In 2024, Rosco was honored with the AKC Award for Canine Excellence in the Uniformed Services K-9 category for his work protecting children. (American Kennel Club)
