Tulsa Kart Club (TKC)
Conduct, Communications & Social Media Policy
Effective Immediately
Applies to all TKC members, drivers, parents, guardians, crew, volunteers, and guests.
1. Scope & Responsibility
This policy applies to conduct occurring in person, online or on social media, through private or public messages, text messages, phone calls, emails, or any electronic or digital communication, and at Tulsa Kart Club events, JRP Raceway, or anywhere TKC or JRP Raceway is represented.
Members are responsible for their own behavior and the behavior of individuals associated with them.
2. General Conduct Expectations
All participants must act in a respectful, professional, and sportsmanlike manner.
Prohibited behavior includes harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threats; abusive, obscene, or hostile language; defamatory or false statements about TKC, JRP Raceway, officials, volunteers, members, or families; attempts to create conflict, disruption, or division; and public attacks on officials or club decisions instead of using proper internal channels.
3. Officials & Flagman Conduct – ZERO TOLERANCE
Yelling at, arguing with, threatening, or confronting the flagman or any race official is strictly prohibited. This includes verbal outbursts from the track, pit area, or grandstands; aggressive gestures or behavior; and approaching the flag stand or officials in an intimidating manner.
Penalty: Automatic two (2) week suspension from Tulsa Kart Club and JRP Raceway. No warning required. Repeated or severe violations may result in extended suspension or permanent removal.
4. Social Media & Online Conduct
Members may not post, share, comment, or distribute content that portrays any TKC or JRP Raceway member, official, volunteer, or family in a negative, misleading, or defamatory manner. This includes photos or videos taken at TKC or JRP Raceway, screenshots of private messages, edited or misrepresented images, or posts intended to shame, ridicule, harass, or provoke.
Posting images or videos of other members in a negative light, without consent, is strictly prohibited.
5. Communications (Messages, Texts, Calls & In-Person)
Unacceptable conduct includes harassing or threatening messages, repeated unwanted contact, aggressive or intimidating phone calls, hostile or confrontational in-person behavior, and public shaming or coercion.
All disputes must be handled privately and respectfully through TKC leadership.
6. Enforcement
Violations may result in immediate disciplinary action including removal from the facility, suspension from TKC, suspension from JRP Raceway, or revocation of membership and racing privileges. Discipline is at the discretion of TKC and JRP Raceway.
7. No Retaliation
Retaliation against anyone who reports a violation is strictly prohibited.
8. Acknowledgment
Participation in Tulsa Kart Club activities constitutes acceptance of this policy.
