We are incredibly sad to announce that the New Zealand International Theatre Festival has been cancelled so our production of “For Colored Girls…” will no longer raise funds to attend. Stay tuned to hear about OUR Inaugural International festival in June 2027 though!

We regret to announce that the planned festival in Wellington, New Zealand, in March 2027 has been cancelled due to the challenging financial and funding situation facing the arts sector.

We are very sorry for this news and for the disappointment caused, especially to everyone who invested time and creativity in their applications.

The AITA/IATA Council is already working to find a new host for a World Festival in 2027. We will share updates as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of international theatre exchange.
