Free and Easy--16x12 oil on linen--- The days are starting to change in the amount of light we get per day. I have always enjoyed the long summer lights but now the days feel shorter by the amount of light we all get. The flowers in the garden are now less and more free and easy in their blooming. With all the craziness going on in the world right now I thought it time to take a break and go into the country side and paint a calm view. We are blessed by being able to take moments away from the hectic noise that invades us each day and now is the time to step back and just look for a place to calm your mind. Clippings from the Garden--11x14 - oil- The freedom of this piece speaks to me. To let go in life and just enjoy the small things that you see each day. It could be a child playing, a laugh with a friend or just the flowers from your garden. The motion of just clipping flowers from the garden can bring peace, calm and a sense of freedom to these hectic days. This painting is a reminder of just that.
