Ben Jammin has over 30 years experience as a singer, actor, choreographer, and educator for youth and adults. He enjoys passing-down the art of live- performance and has an excellent reputation for assisting performers to the next level. Ben Jammin has over 30 years experience as a singer, actor, choreographer, and educator for youth and adults. He enjoys passing-down the art of live-performance and has an excellent reputation for assisting performers to the next level. He has produced dozens of musicals in local public schools, as well as been the Artistic Director for 'Kids on Broadway' and 'Santa Cruz Performing Arts'. Classically trained, Ben has studied voice with Maestro, Eugene Masluk, and at Tanglewood University in Massachusetts. He has also studied acting both at Hayward State and while interning at Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Ben most recently directed 'Falstaff' for the Bay Shore Lyric Opera and 'The Magic of Broadway' for Kids on Broadway, Tulsa. He has performed in play festivals, community theatre, and professionally with the opera and in numerous musical theatre productions.

COMING IN THE FALL! Hark, the Family Carolers are singing from Nov 10 to Dec 15! Enjoy the tradition of holiday caroling by enrolling your child or the entire family for The Ben Jammin Academy's annual multi-generational choir!

Students learn the basics of singing, breath, intonation, and beginning harmony while rehearsing an array of traditional and secular holiday carols, including, "Seasons of Love", "Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog", "Hanukkah in Santa Monica", and "Silent Night" in German! The course ends with three caroling-exhibitions in early December.

Rest in Peace, Jessye Norman.

I had the privilege to meet this diva at Tanglewood Music University in the summer of '84. She'd come to speak of her career and impart some vocal wisdom to a barnfull of about 40 of us teenagers (during one of our choir practices). A noble presence and towering over us at 6'4" in heals, she knew her mind and spoke deliberately.

I am currently in the process of enrolling voice students for a possible OPERA WORKSHOP, as well as for my Academy's Fall Recital. Let me know if you or anyone you know might be interested. It'd be great to see you/your child for voice lessons!
