I was gifted the “Hoarfrost” set of Earthberry Pastels by founder Anna Bessonova, and they arrived today! Here’s an unpackaging video with my initial observations. What I already love are the subtle shifts in both value and temperature. In the next day or two, I’ll be painting a small winter scene using only this set, so check back for more updates. I’m moving into my new studio this weekend and just learned next Saturday (Nov. 2) is the Riverbend Arts District Open House. I’m going to get the studio ready and participate, so come see my new space, maybe catch part of a landscape painting demonstration throughout the day, and shop my annual holiday flash sale for original gifts in time for the holidays!
