Quick update on JamTrax 👇

March 28th marked 3 years since I started the channel. What began as a simple idea has grown into something I never expected — over 2,150 subscribers and 600,000+ views from musicians all over the world.

I appreciate every single one of you who’s spent time playing along, listening, or supporting the channel.

Heading into Year 4, the focus is shifting a bit.

Along with continuing to build backing tracks, I’m getting ready to start **live streaming** — with the goal of creating a space where musicians can hang out, play, and talk about music, gear, influences, and everything in between.

Before launching that publicly, I’m setting up a small private **Live Test Group** to dial everything in behind the scenes.

If you’d like to be part of that and don’t mind jumping in occasionally to give simple feedback (audio levels, clarity, etc.), just comment here or send me a message.

This is strictly a test environment — not the official live streams yet — just working things out before launch.

In 3 days (March 28th), my YouTube channel turns 3 years old.

What started as a random “why not try this?” idea has turned into something way bigger than I ever expected. When I first hit upload, I honestly thought nobody would watch… like zero views, zero likes, just me throwing stuff into the void 😄

I decided to make a backing track channel because I was already creating them for myself anyway. Figured I might as well share them. About 3 weeks in, something clicked with the algorithm and the channel started getting real views. By May, it was doing around 3,000 views a day. That dropped off in June, but since then it’s leveled out to about 650 views a day pretty consistently.

Now, let me be clear—I am NOT some big YouTuber. Not even close 😂
But… technically I am a “pro” YouTuber now since the channel got monetized (became a Partner on 5/10/2024).

I make about $1.50 a day.
Yes… $1.50 😂
Not exactly life-changing, but still kind of wild that something I made is earning anything at all.

Over the last 3 years:

2,150+ subscribers
600,000+ total views
Watched by people all over the world

What does all that mean? Honestly… nothing life-changing.
But it’s still pretty cool.

Apparently less than 6% of all YouTube channels ever get monetized, so just being in that group is a win in my book.

Year 3 plan: Live streaming.

Not chasing YouTube fame. Not trying to “blow up.”
I just want to build a small group of people who enjoy music and want to hang out, jam, and talk about it.

Will it be successful?
Depends on how you define success.

I already have a platform. I already have my own little “venue.”
The streams will get shown to people—that’s just how YouTube works. Some will click. Some will leave. Some might stick around.

Will people like it?
Will they like me?
No idea.

But I do know this—I’m going to enjoy it. And honestly, anything could happen.

For anyone who likes numbers, here’s where things stand:

600,000+ views
5,000,000+ impressions (that’s how many times YouTube has shown my content to people)
8.3% click-through rate (which is actually considered pretty solid)

No guarantee live streams hit those same numbers… but they will get exposure, and that’s opportunity.

So yeah… it’ll be interesting to see where things are a year from now.

Either way, I’m having fun with it 👍

JamTrax Productions has built a community of over 1,900 subscribers and gathered 500,000+ views from musicians around the world — and is now considering taking things to the next level.

The idea?

Hi everyone. This track was created with AI. The first 4 bars I created the Progression, Bass line, and Beat. I uploaded it to AI and this is what AI created. I did have to cut some of the AI track out because toward the end, it started to go off the rails :) . I have mixed feelings about AI. I do not think it should be used to replace musicians, I do, however, see it as a useful tool to assist with song writing. What do you all think. I am sure everyone has some thoughts about AI Music.

It's been a while since I have posted on FB. I am looking for a Bass Player and a Drummer to create content with. I am wanting to start creating Backing Tracks using a Band. We will record the audio and video of us playing the backing tracks. This will give the illusion of jamming with a band for the people that use the backing tracks on the YouTube Channel.
