CLICK ON VIDEO - Our first ever Museum THAT! event was a huge success, bringing the signing community together for a weekend of ASL tours, workshops, activities, and social events across Tulsa’s major art museums and cultural centers. Deaf guides led participants through local and art history with impressive exhibitions and spaces to host lively discussions.

Museum THAT! hosted family outings, date nights, and new friendships formed through having ASL-led events. Visitors across six states joined us with the local community for an unforgettable weekend.

Thank you to our venue partners: Philbrook Museum of Art, 108 Contemporary, Bob Dylan Center, Woody Guthrie Center, Greenwood Cultural Center, Guthrie Green, and Gilcrease Museum. As well as 101 Archer, Lortondale Club Pool, Brut Hotel, and Deaf Night Out Oklahoma.

Museum THAT! was a 4-day weekend full of tours, workshops, activities, and socials in American Sign Language across Tulsa’s major art museums and institutions. Each exhibition and program was led in ASL making it fully accessible to Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and fluent guests.

Thank you Visit Tulsa for the coverage and support! The weekend was a memorable one for the local and visiting signing community. Groups of friends, families, couples, and individuals joined us from six different states. We’re thrilled for Tulsa museums to experience the impact of ASL-led events and cannot wait to see more happening in the area!
