I am incredibly proud to announce that, in partnership with .mcewen.79 and Sport Pembrokeshire, we have launched the United Kingdom’s first Golden Gloves Virtual Reality Boxing Inter-School Competition.

What began as a two-day pilot has now grown into a county-wide championship involving more than 60 schools across Pembrokeshire.

Each school will crown its own champion before advancing to the county finals to compete for the Inter-School Golden Gloves VR Championship Belt. The winning school will also receive two VR headsets for its IT department.

A huge thank you to the entire team at Sport Pembrokeshire for believing in this vision, and to Great Britain Disability Boxing for partnering with us to make it possible.

After the summer holidays, schools across Pembrokeshire will begin competing in the UK’s first Golden Gloves Virtual Reality Boxing Inter-School Championship.

Registration information will be sent to all schools soon. The competition is open to all abilities and has been designed to be fully inclusive.

One of my favorite parts of traveling is checking out the local boxing scene. While visiting one of the gyms, we happened to wander by a skate park. The camaraderie and sense of community I saw there reminded me of what I experience in every boxing gym I have visited. That made me curious, so I decided to stop by one of the local skate shops and pickup my own board!

This trip, I’m bringing a piece of New York skate culture back to Tulsa with my first skateboard, a classic 5BORO NYC built at Labor Skateshop

Huge thanks to their great team for setting up my board and giving me a little insight into New York’s skate scene. If you’re in New York, be sure to stop by and check these guys out.
