Argentine Tango is an improvised dance built on connection. In one hour, Irina & Sergio will have you moving with the fundamentals: the embrace, the walk, and how tango partners actually communicate on the dance floor.

Then, if you’re feeling it, stick around for the Practilonga (a beginner-friendly tango social) starting at 4:30 and try out what you just learned with a warm, welcoming community.

Join us for our third Argentine Tango Practilonga — and this time, we’re adding a Beginner Lesson! 💃🏻

✨Sunday, July 26th✨
Beginner Lesson with Irina & Sergio: 3:00–4:00pm
Practilonga/Social: 4:30–7:00pm

Never danced tango before? This is your perfect entry point. Irina & Sergio will get you comfortable with the fundamentals in the beginner lesson, then you can put it straight into practice at the social.

Practilonga is a social dancing event that combines the relaxed etiquette of a practica with many of the elements you’ll find at a more formal milonga — excellent for bridging the gap between taking lessons and attending formal tango nights. Part of the floor will be allocated to stop and work on a movement, or you can venture down the line of dance. More experienced dancers will be more than willing to help.

No need to know codigos (tango etiquette) just yet — but if you’re curious enough to ask, you’ll likely get a laugh out of some anecdotes.

Snacks or drinks to share are welcome (totally optional). No partner needed.

💵 $20 — Beginner Lesson + Practilonga

About Philip: Phil has been dancing salsa since 2009 and has taught hundreds of Tulsa dancers — he founded the city’s first salsa studio, ran the Feel Good Salsa Social for over four years, and some folks call him the “Godfather” of Tulsa Latin dance. A proud Mexican American from El Paso and a conguero at heart, his mission is simple: build community, share the music, and spread love through dance. ❤️

No partner or experience needed to start.
