This is a charcoal drawing of Suzy, my son's sweet and gentle dog. She is a rescue dog and I thought she definitely deserved to be a princess and have a crown! I named the drawing " Princess Suzy", 16" x 13", 40cm x 33cm.

Welcome to Irmeli Ylinen Art!
I'm an oil painter living in Virginia but originally, I'm from Finland from where I moved to America in the 80's.
Here I'll post my latest paintings and tell about events and other happenings in my artist's life.
I've mainly painted landscapes for many years but always wanted to paint portraits as well. With the rise of Realism during the past several years, I've been able to study portraiture and the old master techniques, so therefore, you'll be seeing here more of portraits as well.
