Infinite love + gratitude to everyone who came out to Late Bloomer on Saturday, was very special to see this piece emerge into the world with all of you. We would like to invite you back this Friday at 8pm for a conversation between kara lynch and Naima Lowe, and a screening of Naima’s video work, as they discuss some of the ideas and influences behind Late Bloomer, and Naima’s path to the work she’s making today. Tomorrow, Saturday 3/25 at 8pm…. Naima Lowe with kara lynch and Jordan Wright officially debut Late Bloomer - a performance, a musical experience, a poetic journey, a grief ritual, A HEAVING GASP OF EROTIC RAGE…… It is ambitious and beautiful and visceral and we can’t wait for you all to see it.

Free and open to all, masks required, and feel free to bring a comfy chair

Hi all! Masking PSA from OK #1 and re Late Bloomer next Saturday 3/25 at 8:

Hey y'all,
We're requiring masks for our upcoming March 25 event. If you don't have one, we'll have super cute pink N95 masks available at the door. We'd also deeply appreciate it if you took a rapid test before coming to the space, and if you've got symptoms, please stay home!

Why are we still doing this now that the CDC and other public health agencies are saying that the panini is all but over? Well, first of all, since when are we out here trusting capitalists to care about our bodies over profits? But more importantly, even in this so-called move to the "endemic" stage of COVID-19, many chronically ill and disabled people are still at very high risk for complications and death from COVID-19. A recent study from Harvard Medical School estimates 1 in 5 Americans have had long COVID, and we're only now learning about the impacts on cognitive function, internal organs, and more. The performers can't wear masks while bringing you this beautiful work, which means that we have put our health into the hands of our loving, radical, artist loving, crip loving, solidarity loving community.
