Boutique with locally made jewelry and contemporary clothing. Located in the historic Old Town Artisans. Our shops now inhabit what was once a fort, a horse stable, a grocery store, a distillery and even a brothel. Originally the site of a Native American Hohokam village. The Spanish built the first garrison here in 1775. Later construction of the Presidio San Augustine started in the 1850's. Some
remnants of that fortress still remain intact. The north wall of our building is located where the Apache attacks on the Presidio were famously fought off. A walk through the Old Town Artisans will give you the feeling of the real Old West. Hearing your cowboy boots on the old wood floors. Seeing the whisky barrel stave and saguaro rib ceilings. Victorian wallpaper, adobe walls and hand blown glass windows can still be seen in many rooms. In this historic setting we have selected a verity of Tucson's best contemporary Artists. Art House Centro is committed to bringing you beautiful handmade objects to adorn your home. We also have a wide selection of speciality gift items.
