Poe’s showcases fine art exhibitions by both local and internationally recognized artists, as well as Amelia's own work. A Brief History of Poe’s
Poe’s, named after its current owner, Amelia Poe (my nom de plume), occupies a historic building originally constructed in 1929 as an auto shop. Over the decades, it has housed numerous businesses, the most fondly remembered by gallery guests being D&D
Pinball, which operated in the East Wing from 2013 until its closure in April 2020. Amelia first connected with the building’s owner while working with HBO, who had enlisted her help in finding a dive bar for the JJ Abrams TV show Duster. One potential location was The Meet Rack—a property Amelia had listed for the seller. During this process, HBO also expressed a need for a warehouse, which led her to this very building. That connection eventually led to Amelia purchasing the space in 2022. As tenants moved on, Amelia began transforming the property into Poe’s—an Art House dedicated to fine art exhibitions featuring both local and internationally recognized artists, along with Amelia’s own work. Located in Tucson, Arizona, Poe’s officially opened its doors with the inaugural Art Invitational, Veils of the Unknown, on October 25, 2024. Currently on exhibition are the Daniel Martin Diaz Collection, Amelia Poe’s Frida Series, and her Succulent Noir photography series. And there’s more to come—an exciting addition is in the works that, if all goes well, will bring live music and performance into the mix at Poe’s in 2025! To facilitate this next phase, I am actively seeking an investor and open to suggestions from those who may know the right fit. Book your next event or private party at Poe’s! Our unique space provides an unforgettable setting for art-filled gatherings! I’m thrilled to see this incredible 1929 building filled with art!
