Happy Global Cat Day! 🐾

Today, October 16, we’re celebrating cats with a little help from Disney’s unforgettable felines, with Gatto joining the celebration too!

From pampered kittens to streetwise adventurers, Disney’s cats have brought plenty of personality, mischief and heart to the screen.

Figaro stole hearts in Pinocchio with his expressive face and bedtime antics. In The Aristocats, Duchess and Thomas O’Malley found an unlikely connection, while Marie, Toulouse and Berlioz discovered a world far beyond their comfortable Paris home.

Marie might insist that “ladies do not start fights,” but she certainly knows how to finish them! Alongside Toulouse’s determination and Berlioz’s musical talents, the three kittens helped make their family one of Disney’s most memorable.

Then there’s Lucifer, always ready to make trouble for Cinderella’s mouse friends. His scheming expressions and determination to catch them prove that Disney cats don’t have to be well behaved to leave a lasting impression!

Oliver brought a different kind of story to Oliver & Company, as a little kitten searching for somewhere to belong. His adventure reminds us how much a safe home and a loving family can mean.

That search for safety, kindness and belonging connects these animated stories to something very real.

Global Cat Day is a reminder to respect and protect cats, including stray and community cats who may have no family of their own. Responsible care, adoption when possible, support for local rescues and humane community-cat programs can all help make their lives better.

Whether they’re stealing a scene or curling up beside us, cats have a special way of finding a place in our hearts.

Here’s to our favorite animated felines and the real cats who deserve care and compassion every day. ❤️
