Congratulations to the CFHS Orchestra Class of 2026! π Many of these Seniors started in the very first year of the district program as 4th graders and are the first class to have had 9 full years of CFSD orchestra education.
At the End of Year Awards Banquet, Gabi shared how the program helped her keep up with her instrument all these years and how bonds of friendship still continue with those whoβve graduated. Sophie said that without this opportunity she wouldnβt be the person she is today and loved the welcoming community. Eva who had Mr. Watson from his Esperero days said what she loved the most was the friends she has made and encouraged underclassmen to stay with the program. Lucas thanked his parents for signing him up for orchestra 9 years ago and said music has become such an important part of who he is because of his involvement. Connor gave a shoutout to Mr. Watson for his great teaching and his parents for first signing him up 9 years ago at Sunrise Drive. John thanked all his teachers since starting in 4th grade naming Mrs. Alexander, Dr. Sah, and Mr. Watson as reasons why he is still playing the cello. Tomas shared how these last 4 years he looked forward to orchestra class every day because he was able to make music together with his friends and he thanked Mr. Watson for being an excellent conductor.
Orchestra students are special and every year we are sad to see the graduating class depart, but we are thankful for the notes they played and the community they built. Best wishes in all your future endeavors, Falcon musicians! ππ»π
