Layers of color, texture, and intention come together so beautifully in this extraordinary collage by artist Liz Halstead. Thoughtfully created from every last drop of saved paint, Liz transforms what could have been waste into something deeply meaningful by embellishing and hand-stitching each piece together by hand. Her process is not only incredibly mindful, but also remarkably labor intensive, making works like this true labors of love.
The physicality and care required to create these stitched compositions is immense, which makes this one of Liz’s final pieces in this style; a rare opportunity to experience the dedication, artistry, and craftsmanship that went into every detail.
