Eetoi Dance with Ho’ok (1975)
Inspired by the legends and traditions of the Tohono O’odham people, Eetoi Dance with Ho’ok captures a moment of movement, celebration, and connection. With sweeping brushstrokes and flowing forms, Ted DeGrazia brings the dance to life, creating a sense of rhythm that extends beyond the central figures and echoes throughout the composition.
Painted in 1975 as part of DeGrazia’s series exploring Papago (Tohono O’odham) stories and traditions, this work reflects the artist’s lifelong appreciation for the cultures of the Southwest.
🎨 This painting is part of the permanent collection at the DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun Museum in Tucson, Arizona.
