Our first ever Desert Frequencies livestream!

Join us and guests each month from 1–4 p.m. MST, streaming live on Mixcloud and Twitch. I’ll always be playing the middle set, and we had so much fun with our first test stream!

We’re still ironing out the kinks, so please bear with us as we get into our groove. I hope you’ll pop in, hang out, share with friends, and enjoy the Sunday Funday vibes!

I added a public calendar to my Linktree for upcoming shows, events, and livestreams, and I also added my new Twitch channel!

It's a little quiet right now, but I'm hoping to fill it with lots of shows, events, and streams this year.

This is the first stream of our new monthly Sunday Funday series! Every four weeks, we'll feature myself plus two rotating guest DJs for a three-hour journey through great music and good vibes.

We'll be experimenting with different show formats in the beginning until we find what feels right, so expect things to evolve as we settle into our groove.

The schedule may occasionally shift depending on other events, so be sure to check my public events calendar for the latest dates and times.

Today, I am grateful for opportunities to play music and share good vibes with like-minded people.

Music is connection, creativity, and expression. Every opportunity to play, learn, grow, and share that experience with others is something I never take for granted.

Tonight, I get to do exactly that. 💚🩷

This is an experiment I've been working on:

I'm testing the idea of assigning emotional values to musical keys and using them as another tool for set planning. In other words, I'm exploring emotional storytelling, just in a different way.

The playlist shown here is one of my "Emotional Journey" crates, built around keys that tend to feel reflective, longing, deep, and cinematic. It's definitely not a strict rule, and every track has its own personality, but it's been a fascinating way to think about how a set unfolds emotionally.

Does it matter? Will anyone notice?
Maybe.

But I've always believed the best sets are more than a collection of great tracks. They're a journey. A conversation. A feeling. At the end of the day, people will not remember every (or any) track you played. They usually remember how you made them feel.

Regardless, cheers to curiosity!

Local DJ friends,

I’m planning to start up my monthly green screen livestream experiment soon. The first few will probably be focused on working out the kinks, but I’m starting to shape the bigger vision.

The plan is likely late Sunday afternoons with a consistent schedule. Think: **Sunday Funday Vibes**.

I’m debating the format:
• Individual sets (about an hour max per person)
• Round-robin style, where we each play 4–5 tracks and switch off throughout the stream
• Traditional B2B sets
• Or maybe a mix of all of the above, depending on the vibe and who’s playing that day. A little more freeform.

Honestly, I mostly want to create something fun and community-focused where we can learn from each other, share our love of music, and get more practice in a collaborative environment.

Even if you're newer to DJing, this could be a fun environment to join. There will be more experienced DJs around to share advice, answer questions, and help each other grow. It could also be a great opportunity to get some practice in before the livestream begins.

I’m also looking to connect with more DJs, musicians, and producers for a larger project that could include regular monthly meetups and occasional one-off events that we put on together.
