The Story of a Theater

In the style of "Whose Line is it Anyway," Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed has been making Tucson laugh since 2002. In 2014, we opened Unscrewed Theater, Tucson's premiere non-profit community theater dedicated to Improv Comedy. Working without a script, we create fast-paced games and scenes based on audience participation and suggestions. Every show is different because we never know what you'll throw at us! You can bring the whole family to see our all-ages 7:30 shows EVERY Friday & Saturday night, or turn off your filters for our 17+ UNCENSORED shows! Three more house teams have now joined NBOJU - From The Top, Comic Chaos, and The Big Daddies. The Improv Funny has just begun. We're thrilled to throw our door open wide once more - to laugh together. We're adding more shows all the time. And classes! All of our performers and volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and boosted if eligible. In order to enter the theater, all patrons, volunteers, and performers must be asymptomatic and wear a face mask (covering mouth and nose) at all times while inside the building, unless performing, eating or drinking. Surgical-grade or better face masks are highly recommended. Unscrewed Theater also provides the option of watching ANY AND ALL of our shows online with our live stream option.
