Amanda (Amanda Timmerman) loves using pen and ink in her non-tattooing work and she brought that to this matching tattoo. The jackalope is a staple cryptid in the southwest, a fierce protector of what it cares for and few things are worth protecting more than the bonds of friends.

Did you play Portal?

Jason Jason Pedersen, Tucson Tattoo missed out on it and is CONSTANTLY told he would enjoy it, so he’s hoping for a remastered edition, especially since he has done quite a few Portal tattoos. Who’s to blame him though, the robots look amazing, and they’re weird and quirky. For this Portal tattoo, the client wanted to get GLaDOS along with some of the more environmental elements of the game. Jason was able to find a 3D model of GLaDOS and manipulate it a little bit to get a pose that fit the composition before designing the piece.

While we primarily work by appointment, the first Friday of every month is an open house where you can check out our pre-drawn designs, get one of our flash pieces in the same day, see the studio, or ask one of our experienced artists those burning questions you have. Silent movies.

One of the things we enjoy about Lauren’s work is that it reminds us of old silent film. It’s a combination of the strong contrast and her whipshaded technique that gives her tattoos that granular look of old celluloid, making them feel very classic while being new.
