The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures is hiring a Registrar.
The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures is seeking an organized, collaborative, and mission-centered Registrar to help care for, document, and steward our permanent collection and object loans in alignment with professional museum standards, including those of the American Alliance of Museums (AAM).
This full-time, on-site role sits at the core of how the Museum keeps its collection safe, accurate, and accessible. Working closely with Curatorial and Facilities teams, the Registrar manages collections records (PastPerfect), oversees incoming and outgoing loans, supports exhibitions, maintains inventories, and helps guide the careful handling and movement of objects across the Museum.
It is a role for someone who enjoys detail, structure, and problem-solving—and who finds meaning in the quiet but essential work of collections care. Every record, condition report, and carefully packed object helps ensure that our miniature worlds can be experienced today and preserved for the future.
We are in a moment of growth as a museum, strengthening systems and deepening how we care for and share our collection. This role will play an important part in shaping that work going forward.
Salary range: $50,000–$55,000, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
To apply, please send a resume and brief cover letter describing your experience with collections stewardship and registration practices to [email protected]. Position open until filled.
Equal Opportunity Employer.
