Our Summer Intensive is in full swing, and we are thrilled to introduce you to our summer guest faculty!
Please join us in welcoming back BR alumn Savannah Carranza to teach ballet and jazz for level 6.
Savannah is a rising junior at Oklahoma City University, where she is pursuing her passion as a Dance Management major at the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment: training in ballet, jazz, and tap dancing, along with many other supplemental styles and arts management and production classes. She began her dance training at age three and joined Ballet Rincon at the age of seven. During her time at BR she was a six-year member of the Ballet Rincon Performance Ensemble. Throughout these years she trained in a variety of styles including jazz, modern, and tap and would have the opportunity to perform many corps and solo roles including but not limited to the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Snow Queen, and the Dew Drop in the Nutcracker. She was also a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts and received high honors recognition at her high school graduation for commitment to the arts and service at the studio.
Throughout Savannah’s time in college she has been able to perform with the Ann Lacy school’s Star Dance Company in the Holiday Spectacular and Move! Dance for the World and Entertainment, along with student choreographed pieces. She has also been able to experience many forms of leadership including internships within the dance school, positions within her sorority, and executive roles in student run organizations like Students of Arts Management. She hopes to continue learning in this beloved craft and is excited to return to her home studio to share her love of dance with young dancers this summer!
