Major beverage alcohol wholesaler RNDC has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as it seeks potential sale transactions and an orderly wind down. ⚖️📉

The filing follows a year of major market exits and asset sales, including an 11-market deal with Reyes Beverage Group, and lists more than $300 million in top unsecured claims. RNDC said shifting consumer preferences and a tougher wholesale environment pushed the company toward an in-court process, while several pending deals could further reshape w**e and spirits distribution. 🍷🚚

Day called the deal a “transformational shift,” positioning Reyes as a “total beverage provider” amid category convergence — and hinted it could soon climb even higher in the rankings. 🍷🥃

The company rebranded 1,800 trucks in 36 hours, acquired 31 buildings and onboarded more than 5,000 employees — all while signaling it’s actively shopping for more distributors in both b**r and beyond.
