Clean Comedy Shows on one Saturday every month at the Vail Theater of the Arts. Unfortunately, we can't pick the same Saturday each month-- but we do get the first available! Entertainment standards have definitely shifted over the years. As the world keeps moving faster, it takes more energy to get our attention in the noise. Unfortunately, much of our entertainment uses shock value and other che

ap antics to get it. It's almost a celebration of being rude and insulting, bringing the audience down right along with the entertainers. But life is funny enough without having to be vulgar! Vail Laughs is based on one simple idea:

Clean comedy for a good price. Our award winning comedians are as committed to this ideal as we are, bringing you quality entertainment month after month and leaving behind all the vulgarity and cheap antics. We don't serve alcohol and never will. We don't even serve popcorn (or at least not yet). Quite simply, it's high quality entertainment you can bring your entire family to. Bob Howard is an attorney who took a standup comedy class in 1993 at the tender age of 42. The assignment was to write a five minute comedy routine to perform at graduation. He always finishes his assignments and that has led to him performing at venues big and small in the Southwest. He won the 2001 Funniest Person in the Valley contest in Phoenix in 2001 and the John O’Connor Humor award in 2013. He has shared the stage with Wanda Sykes, Nate Bargatze, Dan Levy and numerous others. He focuses on the lighter side of being an attorney, growing old and the ups and downs of trying to be a stand up comedian. He often incorporates his guitar into the act with observations about living in the Grand Canyon state. At age 74, he is just hitting his stride in a career that shows it’s never too late to be funny.

Saad Sarwana also know at “Pakistan’s #1 Comedian” and the “The Standup Physicist” has been a comedian for 25+ years. He has performed in every major comedy club in the US, and over 30 states. Saad's comedy will have you rolling in laughter as he breaks stereotypes while talking about Physics, family and being a Pakistani-American-Muslim living in the US. In 2024 Saad won “Arizona’s Funniest Person with a Day Job” . As a senior member of IEEE, Saad has 35+ Published papers, and 3 US Patents. As a certified geek, Saad hosts the “Science Fiction and Fantasy Spelling Bee”. Saad is also a five-time MOTH StorySLAM champion and is the Arizona producer for the Science Storytelling show - The StoryCollider. Saad had appeared on multiple TV shows, including over 100 episodes on the TV show ‘Outrageous Acts of Science’ originally airing on the Science Channel and now streaming on Discovery Plus.

Gabe Biel was born in Ethiopia and migrated to The U.S.A. in 1995 when he was 15 years old. He attended Marshalltown High School in Iowa and ultimately obtained his Doctor Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D) from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in 2006. He started doing stand-up comedy in 2012 in Phoenix, AZ. In 2014, he started opening for big names in comedy like Michael Blackson. He went on a tour with Sling Johnson from Comedy Central TV show, Black Jesus. Gabe's comedy is a mix of African culture and American way of life. Growing up in East Africa and Iowa, Gabe has a unique perspective on life. Being a pharmacist also adds some unique view on American healthcare system. In the style of “Whose Line is it Anyway,” Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed has been making Tucson laugh since 2002. In 2014, they opened Unscrewed Theater, Tucson’s premiere non-profit community theater dedicated to Improv Comedy.

Working without a script, they create fast-paced games and scenes based on audience participation and suggestions. Every show is different because they never know what the audience will throw at them! What will our community of clean comedy lovers have them do and say? Who knows. Floyd Haas is coming to the Vail Theater of the Arts
Since 2011 Floyd Haas has performed at such places as Stir Crazy Comedy Club, JP's Comedy Club, The Pasadena Ice House, The Tempe, Brea, 3 Irvine Ontario IMPROV, The American Comedy Co. in San Diego and countless private/ corporate shows.
He has performed in shows with great Comics like Bruce Baum, Gene P***a, Laurie Kilmartin, Jackie Kashian, Monique Marvez, Michael Longfellow, Brian Scolaro, Joey Gaynor, Nate Bargatze, Ritch Shydner. At 65 he has a unique take on our current culture, being 'younger" grandparent & his own Iife experiences.

Chris Haughton is a refreshingly funny comedian, speaker, and leader. His energy and passion are a nod to his expectation-defying brand of comedy that leaves a variety of audiences - from corporate events to swanky galas - laughing hysterically and completely inspired, without a foul or vulgar word spoken. A native of Newark, New Jersey Chris was raised in a family that had its share of dysfunction. He learned at an early age how to use laughter to pierce through tension and in some cases, ease pain. As a result, he developed an affinity for comedy and used it as a way to cope through difficult situations he faced as a child.

Chris is no stranger to work. At the age of 16, he held 2 full time jobs while being a full-time high school student. He is the only person in the world whose gotten fired from 3 different jobs in the same day while only having 2. At the tender age of 21, Chris enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years on active duty orders. After being stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona Chris decided that the winters in Tucson are far better than anything the east coast had to offer.

Drawing upon his varied life experiences and career, he's able to relate to audiences from all walks of life. His vibrant personality, wit, and professionalism make for a unique combination that keeps him booked on stages stateside and abroad, throughout the year. Whether it's a comedy act for a church event or keynote address at a conference, Chris uses his ability to merge leadership and laughter, to help meet his goal of leaving places and people better than he found them.

Dylan White, fresh from a taping for Dry Bar Comedy which will be released shortly, will open the show.

His comedy is observational, interesting and hilarious. He cut his comic teeth on the east coast and the military detoured his comedy but gave him material to work with. He is one of the youngest, most serious comics we have come across in a long time.

A gentleman with a curious mind, love for people, and heart for God, Chris Haughton is in a class all his own. Offering strength and healing through joy is his life's purpose and comedy is the vehicle that helps him realize that goal. He resides in Tucson, AZ with his beautiful wife Jazmine and their son, CJ.
