Spend the day exploring the Catalyst community with Tucson Toolbox, Debby Urken Arts, 7sound & Co Media Group, Bravissimo Art Center and more.

Plus, catch Performance Group 13 at 11am & 3pm and join Kathi McKay at 1pm for “Pitch Perfect,” a FREE vocal workshop and demonstration from her new book *Singing Secrets*. Discover techniques for singing with greater confidence, clarity and pitch.

Last Saturdays at CATALYST is back this weekend with a free, all-ages, all-abilities community day built around creativity, connection, and showing up for one another.

Join us Saturday, August 29 from 11 AM–4 PM at CATALYST Creative Collective inside Tucson Mall for an open-house-style afternoon filled with hands-on art activities, community performances, refreshments, and opportunities to meet the creative people who make CATALYST such a vibrant community space.

Homeschool Baking is Back at Catalyst! We’re excited to partner with Antsy Nancy again this school year and welcome young bakers back to the Catalyst Teaching Kitchen. These hands-on homeschool programs give kids the opportunity to explore the culinary arts, build practical kitchen skills, and gain confidence through creating something delicious from scratch.

September: Artisan Bread Making
Join us every Friday in September for a 4-week bread-making journey! Young bakers will learn the techniques behind sourdough, bagels, focaccia, and soft pretzels, with expert guidance every step of the way.

October: French Pastry
Bonjour, petits chefs! In October, students will explore the art of French pastry, creating classics including madeleines, croissants, macarons, and chocolate éclairs.

Antsy Nancy’s hands-on classes are all about learning by doing - from cooking and baking to arts, crafts, and other creative skills. We’re proud to continue bringing their homeschool programming to Catalyst Creative Collective, creating more opportunities for young people to discover the culinary arts right here in our community.

It’s not Ai, it’s ROBOTICS!
Beginning this September, they’ll be bringing Coding for Good workshops to Catalyst Creative Collective for Grades 3–5 and Grades 6–8, giving students the opportunity to explore coding, robotics, engineering, and creative problem-solving through fun, hands-on projects designed for their age group.

At Catalyst, we believe creativity comes in many forms - and coding is one more way young people can imagine, build, and make a positive impact in the world. We can’t wait to see the next generation of innovators learning, experimenting, and creating together in our space.

We’re excited to welcome Northwest Tucson Robotics Club as Catalyst’s newest community partner!

Local Veterans are sharing their creativity through visual art, music, drama, dance, and creative writing at the 2026 SAVAHCS Creative Arts Show, August 27–28!

Hosted by the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, the annual Creative Arts Competition gives Veterans an opportunity to express themselves through the arts, share their talents with the community, and advance to the National Veterans Creative Arts Competition.

Art State Arizona is proud to support this year’s competition by helping connect community volunteer judges with the VA and we’re excited to continue celebrating the artists after the competition. We’re honored to continue this partnership and help give Southern Arizona’s Veteran artists another place for their creativity, stories, and talents to be seen and celebrated.

This summer we are excited to welcome Henry Noodleshop to the Catalyst Creative Collective! Henry Noodleshop creates unique, hilarious, and seriously high-quality handmade cat toys inspired by abandoned banana peels, nostalgia, sprinkles, patterns in the noise, using every last scrap of material…and, naturally, cats.

Created by a lifelong maker and cat owner, Henry Noodleshop proves that cat toys can be sustainable, beautifully made, and delightfully ridiculous. What a great fit for our community of creatives here at Catalyst!
