In the spirit of our upcoming production of COME FROM AWAY, we are partnering with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona!

Why this matters:
Come From Away tells the powerful true story of how the people of Gander, Newfoundland opened their hearts and forged unexpected friendships, proving that compassion can shine through even in the darkest times. In the spirit of this beautiful show, we're bringing our community together to make a real difference.

Here's how you can help:
We'll be collecting non-perishable food items in our lobby before and during the run of the show. Please share this post with your family, friends, and neighbors—every contribution helps!

You can drop off your items M-F 12-4pm, 1 hour prior to our performances, or if you have tickets, you can bring your item and drop it on your way in!

This just in! We are so thrilled to have received a very special video message from the REAL life Brian Mosher, one of the wonderful, warm Newfoundlanders who helped 7,000 passengers when 38 planes were diverted to Gander when the US airspace was closed on September 11, 2001.

COME FROM AWAY is really about 9/12 and how a small town provided comfort, shelter, and lasting friendshps, told through the powerful storytelling of musical theatre. Brian Mosher (speaking in this video) and Janice Goudie together became the character of "Janice Mosher" in our upcoming production of COME FROM AWAY, one of many real life stories represented in this show!

Thank you, Brian, and we're sending all our love back to y'all in Gander!!

A first-of-its-kind showcase where multiple local theater companies share one stage. The inaugural Sonoran Theater Showcase invites audiences to “sample” scenes from past productions and upcoming seasons, all in a single afternoon, while supporting the next generation of theater artists.

The event will be in Pima Community College’s Proscenium Theatre and brings together a wide range of Tucson’s most dynamic theater organizations for a fast-paced, curated program of short performances and presentations. Part retrospective and part preview, the showcase offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of Tucson’s theater scene in one place, meet the artists behind the work and get an early look at what’s ahead for the 2026-2027 season.

Investing in the Next Generation
This event is more than just a performance; it’s a mission. Tickets are $20, and 100% of the proceeds and additional donations will go directly toward scholarship funds for Pima Community College theater students. These funds will support the next generation of actors, directors and technicians as they pursue their education in the dramatic arts.

Local Food Trucks will also be serving up Tucson’s favorite flavors!

“Welcome to the Rock!” The Tony-award winning musical “Come From Away” will soon take center stage at Arts Express Theatre. Based on a true story, the uplifting “Come from Away” highlights the week following September 11 when a small town in Newfoundland, Canada welcomed 7,000 stranded airline passengers with open hearts, giving strangers from across the world shelter and hope in the face of crisis. With a fully LIVE show, performances run weekends June 19-July 12 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday Matinees at 2 p.m., with two added Sunday performances on June 28 and July 5 at 7:00 p.m.
