She is equally well known for her bold, colorful artwork as for her generous charitable giving. Madaras owns two galleries in Tucson, Arizona that feature her work exclusively, and is president of the nonprofit Art for Animals Foundation.Madaras is a colorist who celebrates the subtle, natural beauty of ordinary scenes in a way that is both intense and dramatic. She paints in both watercolor and a

crylic and has a diverse portfolio - from brilliant desert landscapes to expressionistic portraits.A signature member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild, Madaras has been featured in a dozen one-woman shows and her art has hung in the Tucson Museum of Art. Much in demand for commissioned artwork, Madaras has completed paintings for Westin, Loews, and Miraval resorts.

Join us on Thursday, July 2nd at 5:30 PM for a Meet & Greet Event with Susan Hershey, one of the Madaras Gallery's newest Guest Artists. Susan Hershey, a talented wildlife photographer known for her stunning shots of Southwest animals, in particular, families of owl she has followed over the years. We will also have the Arizona Raptor Center onsite with a rare opportunity to attendee to see live owls and participate in a live educational presentation. AZ Raptor Center will be bringing 4 live owls, including an Elf Owl and a Great Horned Owl.

This event will go from 5:30-7 PM and will include light bites and refreshments. To RSVP, please visit Madaras.com

Meet Some of the Newest Artists featured at the Madaras Gallery in Tucson, AZ!

One of the wonderful qualities of our gallery is that we have the opportunity to showcase a fabulous community of Guest Artists here, ranging from painters, to photographers, sculptors, jeweled and silversmiths, ceramic and glass artists, woodworkers… the list goes on!

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, the Madaras Gallery is not only your Southwest Art destination, but also a wonderful jewelry spot, too! 💍✨

Our gallery showcases four, talented local jewelers, in addition to a necklace that Diana designed of one of her very own paintings!

đź’šVal Smith, a unique and wonderful silversmith, creates pieces that feel playful yet sophisticated, using a variety of precious gems and stones. Her pieces are filled with color, texture, and organic movement, and her silversmith work is unmatched!

✨StudioJere is another one of our jewelry artists who is known for her unique style - hand crocheted metal and beadwork! Each piece is one of a kind and a true labor love. With earthy colors and a gorgeous sparkle, Jere’s pieces go with everything for any occasion!

🌵Our newest jewelry artist is Reneé Lee Jewelry, a former real estate agent who turned her passion for creating jewelry into something amazing, learning to be a silversmith, too! Her pieces are dainty and elegant, while also using sophisticated stones and designs that work for everyone, with every style and every price point in mind! Some of her pieces even have hidden cutouts on the back with desert critters - so be on the lookout when you visit the gallery next!

Senator Mark Kelly models a Madaras silk scarf that Rotary Club of Tucson, which Diana Madaras is a member of, gave to him as a gift for his dear wife, Gabby, after Mark spoke to the the club at a meeting! Gabby is a big fan of Madaras art!

If you didn’t know, Diana Madaras is an involved member of the Tucson division of Rotary International, a global network of more than 1.2 million members who together, use their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects! Rotary is made up of 45,000 clubs, one of them being the Rotary Club of Tucson!

Thank you to everyone who attended our All Artist Show tonight at the Madaras Gallery! These events are always such a great opportunity for guests and artists to meet one another, and for artists to be able to share their story and craft.

Congratulations to artists who had their works find their forever homes tonight! “Clay, Cactus, and Crimson” by Chuck Albanese is a perfect example, where forever friends can add special pieces to their collection!
