🌵🎨 Artist Spotlight: Darby Hunter
🖼️ Now Featured at The Tucson Gallery

Meet Tucson native Darby Hunter, a desert-raised artist whose work radiates heart, heritage, and healing. Born into a creative family, Darby spent her childhood sketching desert flora and furry friends on her dad’s old sketchpad, inspired by her family’s deep love for animals and art.

After the loss of her beloved stepdad, Dr. Timothy Krone, art became her sanctuary. His memory lives on through her creations—including an illustrated educational book and charitable art contributions to causes like the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter and United Way Youth Programs.

Whether she’s painting with vibrant acrylics or creating digitally on her iPad (a gift from her stepdad), Darby’s passion is fueled by family, compassion, and her rescue pets—including 4 cats 🐱, 2 Dobermans 🐶, 2 guinea pigs, and a chameleon named Kiwi! 🦎

From whimsical wildlife to desert-inspired dreamscapes, her pieces carry the spirit of the Southwest, just like the javelina at sunrise or the fierce gaze of a great horned owl.

🧡 And behind every pop-up or craft fair is her loving fiancé, Alberto, always cheering her on and helping set up tents and tables.
