✨ Spotlight: Yoeme Carver ✨

Today we’re featuring Yoeme Carver — the studio of nationally acclaimed Yaqui (Yoeme) woodcarver Louis David Valenzuela.

Louis draws on his cultural heritage and deep connection to traditional carving, creating pieces that reflect rich history, symbolism, and living tradition. His work ranges from intricately carved masks to culturally rooted forms that honor Yaqui identity and story.

Seeing this work in person is something special — the detail, scale, and presence of the carvings really comes through when you’re standing in front of them.

Whether you’re drawn to cultural art, traditional carving, or simply beautiful craftsmanship, Yoeme Carver brings something truly unique to the show.
