A few of our Tucson racers clocked in at Firebird Motorsports Park this past Saturday and it paid off Big!
You may recall these two youngsters just completed their Jr. Street Licensing in July, and in their first race they are turning on win lights!!!

Let’s start with Arianna, she made her way to the Semifinals in Jr. Street but the bigger news for her is that she won in her Jr. Dragster! She is currently, impatiently I might add, waiting to see if she earned enough points to win the Firebird Track Championship!

Up next it’s Ryker Rojel. He was behind the wheel of the Edwards Gang Chevy Pickup truck, easily the biggest vehicle in the field too! With the legendary Ryan Edwards as co-pilot and dad filming all of the action, Ryker entered his first Jr. Street competition, but make no mistake, he is no stranger to the drag strip as he also competes in the Jr. Dragster ranks. With dad being the camera trying to keep it together, cooler heads prevailed in the cab of the truck as the Rkker and Ryan duo turned on the last win light of the night!

Both Arianna and Ryker took home the coveted Diamond Wally! Congratulations to both of you for an amazing performance!

Up next at Tucson Dragway is the Nate’s Italian Kitchen Big Bucks Race on Saturday October 24th!

Everyone please welcome our newest racer to the Jr. Street category, Liam Swinney. Liam completed his licensing process this morning and we look forward to seeing him and the rest of you in competition on October 24th in the Jr. Street, Nate’s Italian Kitchen, Big Bucks Race!

What’s happening this weekend at Tucson Dragway? The Cactus Clash, one of the most unique races of the year!
Friday night everyone has a chance to leave the electronics in the trailer and go off the bottom bulb.
Saturday will feature the Boarder Battle, Small Tire Shootout, and The 64 car Throw down in T-Town. Plus there will be a wheel stander too! If you never seen one before, come check it out!
Sunday finishes things up with 5 member teams doing battle. The team that wins 3 or more races win the round and move on!

So why am I telling you this? 1st it’s a great race weekend. Second, this is a great event to watch Bracket Racing. This is the same type of racing our High School and Jr. Street racers do. So come out and spend an evening with us, get an idea of how the racing goes. If you have questions, please stop by my pit! I will post our location when we get there. So come on out and check it out, this weekend and if I had to suggest an evening to attend, Saturday is the day.

My wife and kid will race on Friday and Sunday. I will be in the 64 car Throw Down Race and on Sunday.

Next, make sure that you mark your calendar now, like right now, to come out and race in High School or Jr. Street on Saturday, October 24th!!!
