What’s happening this weekend at Tucson Dragway? The Cactus Clash, one of the most unique races of the year!
Friday night everyone has a chance to leave the electronics in the trailer and go off the bottom bulb.
Saturday will feature the Boarder Battle, Small Tire Shootout, and The 64 car Throw down in T-Town. Plus there will be a wheel stander too! If you never seen one before, come check it out!
Sunday finishes things up with 5 member teams doing battle. The team that wins 3 or more races win the round and move on!

So why am I telling you this? 1st it’s a great race weekend. Second, this is a great event to watch Bracket Racing. This is the same type of racing our High School and Jr. Street racers do. So come out and spend an evening with us, get an idea of how the racing goes. If you have questions, please stop by my pit! I will post our location when we get there. So come on out and check it out, this weekend and if I had to suggest an evening to attend, Saturday is the day.

My wife and kid will race on Friday and Sunday. I will be in the 64 car Throw Down Race and on Sunday.

Next, make sure that you mark your calendar now, like right now, to come out and race in High School or Jr. Street on Saturday, October 24th!!!

Deric Otero was out last night getting in some laps in the freshly tuned up GTX! Deric Finished last season, Runner Up in the Championship Points Racing Series. Im looking forward to see the 2027 Championship Points Series take shape as we will have one of the larges field of competitors yet!

Samantha and company were out making her first passes in the Nissan pickup truck, earning her NHRA Jr. Street License and looking to kick off the season on the right foot. With great family support and her Championship Winning sister, Ruby in her corner, she has all of the tools for a successful first season coming up!

Next we have Leighton, she also completed her NHRA Jr. Street Licensing process and from what I can tell, she is extremely excited to get into competition! She already has the need for speed a d her eyes are wide open to the drag racing world. As soon as she saw the Drag Bikes of the Speed Girl Race team, she wanted to know when can she start on two wheels so of course I introduced her none other than Marlee Woolison!

Our Race Family is growing! That Is Awesome!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!! Let us know you’re coming! If you are planning to start the Jr. Street Licensing process tomorrow and have not messaged or texted me this week, please do so!! Also, we need you there as early as possible, gates open by 5:00pm, track orientation will start at 5:15pm in my pit area, to be ready to get in the lanes at 6:00pm. I anticipate being pitted in the southwest corner near the staging lane entrance.

Good Afternoon Everyone! The biggest youth event at Tucson Dragway is coming October 24th! Nearly every space they have will be in use! From the Bullring Highbank RC Raceway on the North end, to the staging lanes at the South side, you should make plans to check out the longest running, all hands on high school automotive style competition….
The Arizona High School Pit Crew Challenge!!

This will be the 33rd running of the RDO Equipment Co. Arizona High School Pit Crew Challenge Powered by The Royal Automotive Group, North Tucson Firefighters Association, and OOROO Automotive.

Come and see teams from across the state compete in the pit area at Tucson Dragway! Teams have limited hand tools and must be strategic in their run against the clock. Teams will be tested on accuracy and speed to see who will take home their share in over $7000.00 in awards thanks awesome sponsors!!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!
Attention all Parents and teens who have completed the Jr. Street Licensing process. Please make sure that you have sent in your packet to the NHRA. You will receive an email with your temporary license, make sure you print that out and have it with you at all times while at the track.

Our next Test and Tune night is August 21st. If you are wanting to license for Jr. Street (13-16YR Olds)
1st PLEASE notify me so I know your coming!
2nd gates are open by 5:00pm, please arrive as early as possible. The track orientation will take 30-45 minutes and we would like to get that done before we start sending vehicles down track.

For those of you that have recently completed your Jr. Street licensing process, it's time to get ready to race!!!!! Go to the "Reels" on this page, watch the first two reels that do not have a picture. One is about starting line staging procedures, the other is about bracket racing.

Our next race is Saturday October 24th!!!

This just in!!! The Street Racers International Perfect Reaction Time Bonus will be in effect at the race on October 24th! The first racer in High School or Jr. Street, in Time Runs or Eliminations, to post a Perfect Reaction Time (.000) earns $50.00!!!
