Artist Bio:
My name is Augustine Lopez I was born on The Pascua Yaqui Indian Reservation in Tucson, Az. I am a Retired U.S. Army Sergeant (SGT.) with two Combat Tours in Iraq 2003-2005 and 2007-2008. I retired from The U.S. Army in 2010 and I am currently enrolled at The University of Arizona with a Major in Photography and a Minor in Sculpture in my Senior Year. My Goal is to become a Free-Lance Documentary Photography. I want to Document the Stories of Humanity through my Lens and all though the stories of the People.
My overall concept in Photography is to create a present history and to document people and their lives for future Generations. In this I want to create life as it happens capturing the rawest moments of life and people. If I can capture the Stories, cultures, and emotions in life and people I believe that through my lens I can capture these moments and make a difference in someone's life or in Society as a whole. My lens will be the voice of the people and the difference we can make in this world.
