A couple days ago I posted a picture a pumpkin that broke during it's second firing. I was able to salvage the the pumpkin and refire it to a different background. This is really nice in person.

This 3D striped bass ( #1, I'm making a 2nd) is mounted in it's reclaimed cedar frame with metal stand and ready for the Pine Barrens Makers Fest. Hope to see you there.

Well... not what should have happened. 2nd firing with multiple layers of glass and it broke. Best guess is that I didn't go slow enough with the firing schedule. Lesson learned and moving on.

This 17"x14" driftwood shadowbox contains six 5"x5" glass fall leaves. 3 of the leaves are elevated about 3/4" above the others. A bit time-consuming but I like the finished product.

The forest is beginning to take shape.
I tried framing these 3D birch trees in real birch limbs and didn't like the look, not enough contrast. I like the burnt cedarwood bases better and will be making 2 more before the Pine Barren Makers Fest. Hope to see you there.
